Job description

Develop Technical procedures aligned to legislative requirements, industry and operational compliance, SHE-Q standards and AMSOL policies.
Participate in developing dry dock project plans.
Improvement of technical performance of vessels and projects, including drydocks, vessel pre-purchase inspections 
Compiles and manages annual budgets for area of responsibility.
Ensures that contingency plans relevant to operations are in place and regularly tested.
Ensures incident investigations (RCAT) are conducted.
Ensures vessel audits and vetting is carried out by the technical team.
Monitors vessel condition, ensures improvement to vessels.  
Establish Vessel Risk Profiling i.e., commercial fit for purpose, technical integrity, etc.

Minimum requirements

Possesses a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification, ideally a Class 1 Marine Engineer, or any other relevant qualification.
Has at least 10 year’s experience in the marine industry, ideally 3 years managerial experience in a shore-based position. 
Tanker endorsement and experience would be advantageous.
Has strong awareness of SHE-Q.
Is able to deliver results and meet Client expectations.
Displays good leadership and company values through interaction with clients, the vessel management team and service providers.
Has a good understanding of people management.
