We’re seeking a Senior Category Specialist to navigate value, strategy, and growth across our operations.
Job description

Drive strategic efficiencies through demand management, supplier consolidation, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
Develop and implement category strategies that align with AMSOL’s business, incorporating cost, quality, sustainability, risk, and maritime regulatory compliance.
Drive AMSOL’s digital procurement agenda by leading system rollouts.
Oversee strategic sourcing and procurement for vessel dry-docks and capital maintenance activities, ensuring cost-effective supplier engagement across inspections, technical upgrades, and refurbishment, in alignment with AMSOL’s operational and compliance standards.
Conduct in-depth supplier market research, including benchmarking and risk assessment.
Lead the rollout and implementation of digital procurement systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, P2P platforms) across AMSOL’s procurement teams.
Utilize advanced data analytics tools and platforms to gather and analyze procurement data across all stages of the supply chain.

Minimum requirements

Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or a CIPS Qualification
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in executing and managing technical engineering or infrastructure-related spend categories and
contracts using NEC contracts suite. This includes experience working in marine, Project Sourcing, industrial, mining, or manufacturing
industries.
Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
Ability to manage internal stakeholder requirements and expectations.
Ability to make decisions, initiate action and deliver results to meet Client expectations
Experience in management of people and teams.
