Job description
Plan and execute safe diving and surface operations.
Manage and schedule all planned and unplanned SBM maintenance as directed by the Contract Manager and SBM Maintenance Superintendent.
Compile and review Detailed Work Procedures and HIRAs for all diving and surface activities.
Ensure all dives are run in accordance with South African legislation.
Monitor equipment registers and confirm completion of monthly checks.
Verify dive team qualifications and assess diver fitness prior to each dive.
Maintain familiarity with the site Emergency Response Plan and conduct regular diving emergency drills.
Minimum requirements
Be qualified as a Registered in-date DOL (Department of Labour) CLASS II Air Diving Supervisor
IMCA Air Diving Supervisor Certificate
5 Years related offshore experience (SBM experience preferable)
Holds an up-to-date diver’s log and Supervisor book.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Computer literate (MS Excel).
A self-motivated individual who displays excellent initiative and problem-solving abilities.
Must be prepared to work irregular hours.
Has strong SHE-Q awareness and compliance.
Is able to deliver results and meet customer expectations.
Displays good leadership and company values.
Has a good understanding of people management.
