Introduction
We are looking for a Project Planner to join our team on a fixed-term basis, supporting docking, maintenance, and upgrade projects. The Project Planner will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of vessel dry docks, maintenance programmes, and marine engineering projects. This includes developing and monitoring project schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. 6 MONTH PROJECT STARTING 01 FEBRUARY 2026
Job description

Key performance areas:

Develop and monitor project, docking, and maintenance schedules.
Coordinate activities between shipyards, subcontractors, OEMs, and internal teams.
Ensure SHEQ compliance across all projects.
Compile detailed project specifications and oversee execution.
Track project progress, highlight deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
Manage procurement timelines for spare parts and equipment.
Submit daily and final project reports.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications & Experience

National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical)
Project Management training/qualification
Engineering Officer Certificate of Competency (advantageous)
3 years in project management/dry docks
3 years in a technical field
Marine industry experience (advantageous)

 

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of vessel systems (hull, propulsion, machinery, deck equipment)
Ability to manage multiple contractors and work scopes
Knowledge of fleet management, statutory, industry, and class standards (ISM, ISO, OCIMF)
SHEQ awareness and commitment to continuous improvement
Strong commercial acumen and decision-making skills
Client-focused with excellent communication and partnership-building abilities
