Job description
•Responsible for the overall management of a fleet of vessels.
•Coordinate a balance between technical, nautical, compliance, commercial, HR/Crewing & vessel operations as per client KPI’s.
•Ensure compliance with ISM, statutory, classification, SHEQ and recognised industry standards such as OCIMF.
•Performance management and development of Masters and Chief Engineers to desired company standards.
•Ensure financial management through effective vessel operating cost control and accurate budget composition planning in conjunction with the Technical and Crewing Managers.
•Coordinate dry dock dates and location in conjunction with the nautical, technical, procurement and commercial teams to ensure dry-dock performance KPI’s are met.
•Assist and participate in tenders, RFP’s and RFQ’s.
•Ensure the effective operation of the vessel's delivery service, in terms of its human resources and operational efficiency.
Minimum requirements
•Possesses a valid SAMSA approved Certificate of Competence as unlimited Chief Officer/ Second Engineer Officer as a minimum.
•Has at least 4 years’ experience in a maritime management role.
•Has strong SHE-Q awareness and compliance.
•Is able to deliver results and meet customer expectations.
•Displays good leadership and company values through interaction with clients, vessel crew and service providers.
•Has a good understanding of people management.
